About Myrtle

Welcome to Myrtle Cottage, a quintessential county cottage in the historic picture perfect village of Wormleighton – nestled on the borders of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire
Right in the Heart of England.

Now privately owned, the cottage, was originally a farm workers dwelling. Why Myrtle Cottage? As as it was Myrtle’s own Cottage & her sister Gladys lived in Glads Cottage next door!

Wormleighton & St Peters Church

Wormleighton village is mainly owned by the Spencer Family of Althorp near Northampton. Most of the surrounding farm land and the majority of the houses in Wormleighton are owned by the Spencer’s and rented to house and farming tenants.

The lovely ironstone village church, St Peters, is historic and idyllic usually with sheep grazing around it!
